Dino Protein is for the Birds Organic material from a T. rex bone shows that birds are the closest living relatives of dinosaurs. In echoes of Jurassic Park, organic material has for the first time been recovered from a dinosaur fossil. yeah well, they actually Found partial fragments of DNA in a few different species of dino bones- TRex being the first- anywho- look it up, make a clone, call me- i have patens on cloning dinosaurs and mammoths. ; )

Love your statement, little do others realized that the common chicken has scales on its legs!
So, simply put, if your parents are in a clade, then so are you, you can’t cease being part of a specific clade just because you are different enough. You *can* be considered part of a new clade that might not include your genetically similar cousins (i.e. dinosaurs vs. mammals, both being ambiots) or your parents (i.e. dinosaurs vs. birds, both being dinosaurs).
So, all ducks are in the bird clade, all birds are in the theropod clade, all theropods are in the dinosaur clade, all dinosaurs are in the reptile clade (actually, the term “reptile” isn’t used scientifically because the traditional group known as reptiles turns out to include multiple clades who’s common ancestor isn’t considered a reptile, but for the sake of conversation we can consider it a clade). All repitles (and mammals) are part of the Ambiot clade, etc, etc…
Cladistics is a pretty simple way to classify things. Things are not put in seperate clades because they are “different enough”, the only reason something would be in a different clade is because they don’t share a common ancestor, depending on how far you go back. But clades are all-encompassing for the decendents of the initial species in a clade.
What I wanted to say it’s that Dinos are enough differents from the other reptiles to create a new clade. There are more differences between a lizard and a dinosaur than between an ostrich and a dinosaur. So they should be put, birds and dinos, together in a new clade. I’m not the only who thinks this (if I wrote something wrong, it’s because I’m from Italy)

Um… Dinosaurs are a subset of reptiles. Bears are a type of mammal which are not a subset of reptiles. Your statement “Dinosaurs are no more reptiles than a bear” has no basis in reality.
Birds are Dinosaurs. Dinosaurs are no more reptiles than a bear. That’s it.

- No they are TOTALLY not. Birds and humans, like all living things, share much of their genetic code. Ever heard of the “universal genetic code?” (Oh, and if you decide to bring up ‘common designer,’ remember, YOU said these organisms were TOTALLY genetically different. Checkmate.)

You want proof, look no further than your own anus. Birds, reptiles, and humans all share the same ancient anal proteins that we evolved from earthworms.

Dinosaurs evolved from birds, their scales are modified feathers. We also evolved from birds. Hair is a modified feather too. In fact, your entire head is a modified feather.
Birds are reptiles, that’s how. They, along with crocodiles and other dinosaurs (birds are dinosaurs), belong to the Archosaur clade.
